The Castillo De Pavones is actually one of Costa Rica’s great attractions. I have worked in and for the hospitality industry at many big destinations like Hawaii and New Orleans. The ambiance at the Castillo rivals that of first class resorts in Maui. Many, including myself, will say that their best meal in Costa Rica was served at the Castillo’s “Blue Morpho Grill & Lounge.” If nothing else you should definitely have a cocktail at the awesome 360º ocean view lookout tower. Throughout my three months in Pavones i was delighted to witness the owners Aaron and Jaime’s personal attention to each and every guest. Simply put you are treated like royalty at the Castle of Costa Rica! Plus, they are very knowledgeable about local tradition and culture. If there is something to do or see in Costa Rica they will provide it to you.

Hello my name is Shereen Crowley and I have worked for Continental Airlines for 16 years. I have traveled all over the world and have had the opportunity to meet a lot of people in the travel business. In March of 2002, Aaron Roberts and Sea-Earth.com taught me how to scuba dive in the waters of Belize. I had one of the best times of my life and made a great friend. Aaron and his company are professional and fun. I recommend them as my number one choice for adventure travel. I am going on a trip with Sea-Earth to Costa Rica this year. The Castillo is my favorite hotel in Costa Rica. I love Pavones and plan on going back this year for my 4th visit in 4 years.

I am writing this testimonial in regards to SCUBA lessons I received from your instructor, Aaron Roberts. I recently separated from the military in August 2004 after 12 years of service, and have had the opportunity to travel to over 30 different countries. I had the pleasure to take my advanced open water course with your instructor Aaron Roberts in late 2003. After numerous dives to Catalina Island in California, and Costa Rica, it became clear I went to the right man. Aaron has a degree of professionalism I have rarely seen outside of the military. His attention to detail, safety-conscious nature and thorough instruction, made me feel completely comfortable at any depth or in any condition. I would highly recommend Aaron as a SCUBA instructor, guide and good friend.
Sincerely,

I am a 78 year old man and like to travel. I grew up in Boston and live there presently. Aaron Roberts and Sea-Earth.com brought me on a trip to the South Pacific side of Costa Rica. The experience I had with this travel company was very intimate. They took care of all my needs. Every thing we did was first class and a real adventure. Sea-Earth does not package you together with other people, which I like and everything is for you and your family or group. They know how to pay attention to detail. I will always recommend Sea-Earth and the South Pacific of Costa Rica. I have traveled all over Costa Rica and Pavones is the most exotic and tropical of them all…and the fishing is great.
Thank you, Aaron, for all your energy.
Your new friend,
George Jovellas

The Castillo has the best location, it is right in front of the point break, and you can watch people surf from the Castillo balcony’s. The Castillo restaurant, on the top 3 levels is insane! The view is 360 degrees, all glass and open. The food is the best I have had in Costa Rica and probably Central America. The suites at the Castillo are the best in Costa Rica by far…5 STAR ALL THE WAY! Thanks Castillo staff for the great vacation. Pura Vida, Raphael

I am 66 years young and have twice gone to costa rica. i have stayed at the castillo de pavones and have never been so impressed with the hospitality and service i recieved here. The rooms are so beautifully done and the nature all around just takes your breath away…the full ocean view is like a picture postcard. I am well traveled and this is the only place i care to return to and WILL. i found that Aaron and Jamie could not do enough for their guest and made the whole experience one i will always cherish. Castillo de pavones is the only place i have ever felt so at home and yet so pampered and spoiled with beauty all around. The animals (monkeys, birds, etc) were such a highlight and made it all come together…i say go…you will love it…

My wife and I spent a week at Castillo, and had a great time. THE FOOD is the first thing that comes to mind – fresh, cooked to order, and lots of it. Aaron and Jamie make you feel like family, not guests. We explored all of Pavones, surfed, toured the jungle, rode bikes, lounged, did yoga, got massages – luxury in the jungle. It sure is nice to have AC in your room after a long day of adventures. Many thanks Aaron and Jamie – you were very gracious.

Came to the Castillo with a group of friends to celebrate my 30th Birthday. What an incredibly amazing trip. The Castillo is absolutely gorgeous and you immediately feel all stress disappear. Located on a hill in a beautiful location in Pavones all you see is blue water, blue sky and lush green trees- not too shabby. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms so interesting and the food at the Castillo is delicious. Overall a wonderful experience.
